Inohae Valley Therapy Hike

Inohae Valley Therapy Hike

Located at Kitago region in southern Miyazaki, the ravine is a hidden spot for “forest bathing” by walking on a trail along a river and up through rows of evergreen oaks which produce phytoncide to relieve your ailments and fatigue. The valley is also known as a treasure trove of mosses, 300 of the 1.800 species that grow in Japan can be found here, as well as the endemic wild wife to Japan such as reptiles, amphibians, and birds.

Waterfalls

There are more than 20 waterfalls of various sizes along the trail, misting to cool you down. Nice to soak your feet in the waterfall basin while listening to the stream babbling and the calls of the frogs and the birds for refreshing…

Greenery

Because of the stable wet condition through a year, the primeval forest around the valley, which comprises mainly oak trees, has been well-conserved. A number of species of mosses, ferns, and orchids can be found along the trail.
